Prophetically Changing the Atmosphere

Text: Revelation 15:2-8

Prophets can see into the heavenly realm and through the anointing of the Holy Spirit encourage, exhort, and console the people of God that change is coming. It is coming to benefit them and to give them an everlasting victory over the wiles of the devil.

  • Seeing imparts vision—the Church must cast forth the vision of God into the world that souls may come to Christ [Rev. 15:1].
  • Seeing produces great and marvelous wonders—It opens our eyes to the true nature of God and the aspects of His kingdom [Rev. 15:1].
  • Seeing prophecies victory—the prophet declares the future events of our victory through Christ [Rev. 15:2].
  • Seeing produces an open heaven—The vision of the prophet proclaims “the tabernacle of testimony in heaven to be open” [Rev. 15:5].
  • Seeing proclaims God’s glory and power—the presence of God is a consistent dwelling place in the life of a prophet. The prophet who walks in this anointing declares His majestic glory and His absolute power [Rev. 15:8].
  • Seeing declares judgment—This is a two-fold anointing. In each scriptural declaration the judgment is just and true because it is from God who is holy and righteous in all things.
  • The first is judgment against the enemies of God who look to crush the church [Rev. 18:2; “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!”]

We can bring judgment into our situation in order to release God’s anointing and cause those who stand in accusation against us to flee. Bringing immediate judgment to our circumstances.

  • The second is judgment on the church because of their disobedience to God. Deuteronomy 30:15: “I have set before you today life and prosperity [good], and death and adversity [evil]; …but if you turn your hearts away and you will not obey but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing [remaining at Mt. Sinai—the LAW] the Jordan to enter and possess it [Mt. Zion—The grace of Jesus Christ].

God sets a witness against us. “I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live” [Deut. 30:19].
