A Witch’s Invitation
“…with all power and signs and false wonders” 2 Thessalonians 2:9.
In 1987 there was a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Pentecostal church. The Toronto blessing had sprung up in a great many churches throughout the United States and Canada. This revival was followed with many miraculous signs and wonders. People were being healed from all kinds of ailments, healed from broken limbs, healed from cancerous tumors and heart disease. One of the prominent outpouring of these meetings was the phenomenon called “the Laughing Spirit.”
This action was evidenced in people in services while being slain in the Spirit [where healing took place without the laying on of hands] and laughter arising in the persons being healed or having participated in the services. This phenomenon would last for several hours. Many testimonies of God having touched people came from these services. Crutches, wheelchairs, leg braces, casts, and the like were torn off and the person walked away healed. But in the midst of this great and glorious move of God there was an increased attendance in witches bringing false signs and wonders promoting ‘New Age’ philosophies in the name of Christ.
I ministered in a church in Bristol, CT during this time and witnessed these witches’ invitations firsthand. As the service began, many attendees were gathered at the altar for prayer. People were getting healed. Suddenly a woman fell to her knees and began to meow like a cat. She started to rub her body [like cats do] on the legs of a woman next to her. She moved in and out about the legs of the woman in a sensuous like motion. As I looked to the pastor and church leadership to halt this woman’s actions, they informed me that this was all a part of the service and had happened many times before. They believed it to be of God! I literally leaped from the staging area and rebuked this woman’s deception. She was OUT OF ORDER scripturally and prophetically! I had to obey the Spirit of God as a prophet no matter the consequences to follow. It was later discovered that this woman was a practicing witch and hiding among the Pentecost movement of God in order to deceive and destroy any move of the Spirit.
Most recently, I read of a church in Atlanta, GA [Charisma Magazine, 7/2019] putting a professed witch on their pastoral staff in order to give them psychic readings and guide their congregants into a deeper spiritual life. Many churches are following suit and allowing a witchcraft spirit to enter their houses. This door has been opened because our church leaders have not come to terms with Gal. 5:17, “For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit [Holy Spirit], and the Spirit [Holy Spirit] against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another…”. We have tolerated sinful activity in our members in the name of God’s love. This alone is an affront to the righteousness of the Lord. True Godly love leads the sinner to repentance and redemption through the cross of Christ. There can be no other way. The more we entertain the world the more the devil will spread lies and deception.
I am telling you this prophetically. The Lord has instructed me to make you aware that revival is coming to many of your churches in the next days, weeks, and months. Be aware that when the Spirit of God releases it in your house the witches in your region are also coming. They are there to create false signs and wonders, to lead your people astray by thinking they have witnessed a move of God when all they really have seen was “the activity of Satan”
2 Thessalonians 2:9. I am encouraging you to keep the breakout of revival in your church to a scripturally based event and a prophetically sound teaching. Be on the alert for those who would want to see God mocked in the midst of these events whether knowingly or unknowingly. In doing so, you will have maintained an attitude of righteousness and holiness. Guard the anointing God has placed in you!
Saints, God has promised blessings on your life because, unlike the others you have not known ‘the activity of Satan.’ You have stood fast to your faith and your calling. You are over-comers; “And he who overcomes, and keeps My works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations…He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says unto the Churches” Revelation 2:26 & 29.
Watch the signs and be cautious of the times. We are in an age of a witch’s invitation! Guard the anointing upon your church and your lives.Follow after Him. Do not allow yourself to fall into this deception as are many other churches. YOU ARE CALLED!
In God calling you, know who you are:
- God sets the foundational cornerstone of prophetic truth in your life.
- God wants you to Understand your anointing.
- God creates defining moments when we step into His greatness.
Always in Him,
